Oh my, this was our lucky day! We arrived in Ocracoke last night and today we had to venture back to Kitty Hawk to see Dr. Samson and staff. You know, it's always scary when you have to go to a new vet...you really don't know how it's going to go, whether or not they really know what they're doing, etc., etc. We needn't have worried at all! Dr. Samson and the tech were just great! Professional, personable, knowledgable, gentle with our little girl...we couldn't have asked for more. And kudos to Michael who guided us in to the office better than a GPS! We are so grateful.
The Coastal staff was just great Everyone made Harley rite at home. Gentle very caring people. Very clean. Got us in with no problem. Will be taking all our dogs there from now on. Did a great job on Spaz also. He's very shy and had no problem. Just great place.

Dr. Samson and staff are great! My dogs don’t freak out when visiting their office. You can tell the staff truly cares about your pets well being. They’ll call after for days just making sure they are doing better. They take the time to explain everything and always answer every question.
We have been going to Hatteras Island for years. Buddy was in pretty bad shape for our scheduled vacation. I knew we might have to put him down while we were on vacation. So glad we took him for his last trip. He had been many times and had a few good days before we called. Christina, in the Buxton clinic, was wonderful. I am a Hospice Nurse, and I cannot imagine anyone who could have comforted me and my husband more. Thank you. She made us comfortable and most importantly, Buddy left us very peacefully.
I've been seeing Dr. Sampson since my pup was just 8 months old. He's warm, caring and thorough when my animal has been ill. The entire staff is professional and courteous. With a little notice, they've always seen my dog. Nail clippings are complimentary. They've even day-boarded her in hot weather when I've had medical appointments for myself, at no additional charge. I have been to other practices around the Outer Banks but Coastal Animal Hospital is THE BEST!
