I take a prescription on a regular basis and have for many years. I've moved a lot for work so I've been in a ton of pharmacies! The only other that comes close is Hayes Barton in Raleigh. When I lost my drug coverage last year, I assumed Walmart was my best bet. Thankfully, they were so difficult to deal with I decided to try Bear Drugs. They are cheaper and so much faster, friendly and on top of my needs. My prescriptions are crucial to my day to day life. I wouldn't go anywhere else on the Outer Banks! I drove from Grandy because I trust and appreciate them that much!
I walked in and got noticed right away. In and out in a flash! Great staff and very helpful. Want to be treated like a VIP? I felt that way... Don't waste your time anywhere else!!!
Steve and his wonderful staff have been meeting and exceeding my pharmacy needs since the 1980s. I drive right past the large nationwide pharmacy chains to shop at Bear Drugs. The kind, friendly and knowledgeable staff are a pleasure to interact with. They alwys make sure that i am familiar with any new prescriptions I may get. My prescriptions are always filled ina timely manner. If there is a wait the time spent is pleasurable. It is much like hanging around at the old country store. You always see someone who is familiar. If not Bear Drugs customers are very friendly and there is always interesting conversation taking place. Bear Drugs customers are always happy to be in the store which leads to a comfortable atmosphere. Bear Drugs prices on medications almost always are lower than the national chain pharmacies. I urge all locals and visitors alike to give Steve and his staff the opportunity to serve your pharmaceutical needs. You will be happy that you did when you walk away feeling well taken care of.

I have been using Bear Drugs since I moved here in 1984. The owner Steve always remembers who you are and say hello whenever he sees you. The staff knows who you are and always suggests generics when they can to save you money. They have a great selection on greeting cards that is so much easier than going to a chain. The few times that I have had to go to the national chains in town I remember why I love Bear Drugs.
