My husband and I only stayed one night for camping, bit it was the best. We has so many spots to choose from we camped near the peacock. Sadly I didnt get his name so i called him Skittles. The bath house was clean and spacious. The grounds are well kept. We are definitely coming back.
The wooded area floods and was not told be for we set up camp. Had to get a hotel because of flooding. The field has a lot of red ants. Not great for the price it cost. Definitely camped other places at the outer banks for less without the problems. Definitely will not be using this camp ground again.

Nice tent campground. One mile to beach. Plenty of hot water in showers. Motorcycles allowed. Host Jim was very nice.
Inexpensive compared to everything else down there, though the age of the buildings and the damp beach environment make it a tough battle to provide more for your money. It is also a challenge to not be concerned with who the other people are that rented the other bedroom in the hostel setup.
